Brightly - A Self Made Renaissance

Have you ever heard the term “Michaelagelo-ing”? Brightly Partridge describes this process by saying, “If it's not the statue of David, it is not on my mind.” When you “challenge yourself and put yourself a little out of your comfort zone” that's when you’ll start to see the rewards if you just “keep pushing.” “You just have to start somewhere.”

As a Salt Lake City local, Brightly found that “sometimes you have to leave the place you grew up”. Her journey took her to Jackson Hole, Wyoming where she opened her first business Teton Beauty Lounge, who she lovingly refers to as “Grandma”. A former massage therapist, Brightly now offers medical esthetics and cosmetic tattooing. Jackson Hole is a small community, where you can “really see everybody.” In a town where the “billionaires have pushed out the millionaires”, Brightly has been grateful to find success in a growing market, where she’s the only cosmetic tattoo artist, but she wanted more for herself and her business.

“To be able to even live there, let alone have a business, I had to work so hard for what I have, but it didn't come easy. People always see success after it's done.
But, I knew that's not a city that can grow. It can't scale, to the point where I want to. There's more creativity, connection, and people that I’d rather live my life like [in Salt Lake City].”

An opportunity arose for Brightly to work alongside the person she looked up to for microblading inspiration, in Salt Lake City. Nicole, a pioneer in the SLC cosmetic tattooing industry, was the person who microbladed Brightly’s eyebrows. Working with Nicole was a nudge from the universe that Brightly was heading in the right direction. After three years of this beautiful mentorship, ever the expander and ready to “grow her own dream”, Brightly found herself ready to open her second business Moonlight Kingdom Spa, who she refers to as “Mom”.

Splitting her time between Jackson Hole and Salt Lake City, her success with Teton Beauty Lounge has allowed “Grandma” to sponsor “Mom” (Moonlight Kingdom Spa). “I'm not rich. I'm my own investor.”

Moonlight Kingdom Spa offers a community focused experience. “I've done something a little different in the aesthetics world of being side by side with a potential stranger, but it's close; it's community. It's kind of fun, a little taboo.” The infrared sauna and membership lounge is a space where members can tap into some self healing. “What I do is talk to my therapist on the phone, in the member lounge, and afterwards, I go to the sauna, and I soak it all in, and journal.”

Brightly’s next offering is a 1969 vintage Air Stream, that she’s been converting into a mobile spa, for the last 6 years.
“It's taken that long, but you just have to consistently keep chipping away and keep finding your people. I'm not Pinocchio. I swear; it's gonna get done. Some things get priority, some things get bumped.” “I think it’s just the small wins of who you meet along the way, that true, authentic connection.” “Those little affirmations of somehow, some way.” “Sometimes it feels impossible, but you really can do the possible.” “You have to reach.”

“I have a five month rule right now”, Brightly shares as she discusses that she’s on “divine timing.” This five month rule allows her to reflect on the progress that she’s made in that time frame and serves as a reminder that “as long as you're trying to elevate, it's going to somehow, organically, (hopefully), fall into place.”

Brightly is currently Michaelangelo-ing her “badass day spa, baby!” “To create something, like a “Girl Hub”, or in this day and age, a “They/Them Hub.”
We’re universal. We all speak love. We all have a heart and a soul; no matter how much money or wherever you're at, we're all equal. There's no separation.”

“The more you stick together and believe in each other, you hold space and equanimity for one another. You can do it and you can push limits that you wouldn’t even imagine where you'd be at. Like I said, in five months, and [then] imagine what’s in a year. You really do live such a short, sweet life, so might as well keep it with people that are the same frequency. There's no competition. It's all cooperation.”
